Since I started doing photography as an A-level I really wanted to carry out photography as a career, as I’ve always had my heart set on spending my life doing something I enjoy. That’s why I decided to take up BA (Hons) Photography, so that I could discover what form of photography I wanted to carry out, and develop the skills I needed in order to make a career out of it.
At the moment I’m unsure as to what genre of photography I want to focus on. I really enjoy portraiture, but throughout my last module I have been very inspired by black and white film photography and may want to concentrate on that, and may incorporate portraiture. However, I still want to gain more digital skills, just in case I ever need those skills to earn money doing more commercial, rather than fine art based work.
So my aims are to finish my degree as well as I can and hopefully have a career follow on from that.
